From Booster Bots to Moss Toolbox

Before Moss Toolbox there was Booster Bots. From 2014 to 2019 I built and sold Windows automation software: Instagram promoters, Pinterest scrapers, Poshmark bots, custom tools for clients. Real shop, WooCommerce storefront, support inbox, affiliate program. Thousands of customers came through. Some paid $29.99 for one tool, some bought the all-access membership.

I shut it down and sold the domain because of one problem. Every tool I sold fought a platform. When Instagram changed how it handled logins, my promoter broke overnight. When Pinterest tightened up, the scraper was dead weight. Customers were happy right up until the cat-and-mouse game caught up, and then I was the one writing apology emails. Eventually that gets old, so I stepped away.

Moss Toolbox is what I build instead. Same person, same craft. The difference is easy to state: these tools work inside the platforms’ rules instead of around them.

The listing booster

The old Booster Bots promise was visibility, and the methods broke platforms’ terms to get it. My first toolbox attempt at a clean version - Listing Audit & Booster - scored a pasted listing against the marketplace’s own rules and let members have AI rewrite the weak parts. I retired it when the toolbox narrowed to the writing and image tools it does best, but the lesson carried over: visibility help has to read the platform’s rules and stay inside them.

The data grabber

My old tools pulled whatever data they could reach. The Review Insights Analyzer works only with reviews you already have. You paste your own customer reviews and it finds the patterns: what people praise, what they complain about, what to fix on your listing. It doesn’t scrape anything and doesn’t connect to your shop. The only reviews involved are ones you already have.

That is the whole philosophy, honestly. Build useful software, sell it directly, support it personally. The tools just stopped fighting anybody, which means they stop breaking too.
